AI Career Prompts - Communication
Do your own research with these AI skill prompts to accelerate growth
AI Career Prompts are all about encouraging creative exploration with AI tools, where you can innovate and focus outward on your career to expand what you don’t know and build on what you do.
Take one or more word
Enter it in your favourite AI tool or even search engine
Start learning
Don’t over think this.
You can do this in about 5 minutes if that is all you have.
Don’t wait around for some words and phrases to be dropped in conversation. Use these prompts to pick one, two or all the words you see and explore what they can refer to, and think about how they could apply to you and your career development.
I will aim to drop these once a month. Nothing major in terms of reads and should be a starting point for your own research.
Let’s try it
The theme for this month is all about communication. Communication is critical in your career development process. If you cannot communicate your ideas, your feedback, your work - then it will not be easy take your skills and apply them to the world.
Let’s begin with a short example.
Looking at the prompts, I want to look at the prompt - ‘Situational Communication Model’.
I am going to ask ChatGPT what the basics of Situational Communication Model are:
Explain the basics of the Situational Communication Model
Great. So I’m getting somewhere, I can ask ChatGPT to simplify or maybe I want to think about it for a while.
I can go look up the framework on my favourite search engine for some fact-checking, find there was a book published by these professors at Harvard and perhaps find the Harvard information on it now I know it’s associated to them, like this or this. It mentioned something about technical and adaptive challenges, so I can even find some more information which break down what Technical and Adaptive Challenges are.
These prompts are useful because you will most often than not, be building on what you already know.
You will read and start to understand you actually have a bunch of this experience already, it’s just being framed in a specific way, under a specific model.
You will be learning
You will be growing
With a simple prompt.
